03.04.2022 – 20 YEARS LACK OF PURITY
Hmm, something happened in April 2002 – only what? Oh yes! Our band website went online with the first news article, we were already busy writing our first songs and finally moved into our own rehearsal room. We think these are all good reasons to set April 2002 as the official start date for Lack of Purity. Which also means that it’s OUR TWENTY YEAR BAND ANNIVERSARY!
When we started Lack of Purity back then, we wouldn’t have dared to dream that 20 years later we’d still be around – albeit in a slightly changed line-up by now. The damn pandemic messed up our schedule a bit, so there is not as much to announce today as we would have planned. We ask for a little patience, because soon there will be more news from Lack of Purity!
But what we can already announce: We will return on stage in September 2022, more precisely we will play at the St. Pölten Metal Weekend! Since we haven’t been musically idle in the meantime despite the pandemic, you can hear one or the other new song there. Furthermore, our website www.lackofpurity.com, which also serves us as a kind of band archive filled with information from 20 years of band history, has been given a new and contemporary look.
We thank all our fans, friends and supporters for their loyalty and long-lasting interest in Lack of Purity and we are really looking forward to finally rocking and celebrating live with you again!

🇦🇹 Hmm, irgendwas war doch im April 2002 – nur was? Ach ja! Unsere Band-Website ging mit dem ersten Newsartikel online, wir waren schon fleißig am Songwriten und sind endlich in unseren eigenen Proberaum umgezogen. Wir finden, das alles sind gute Gründe, den April 2002 als offizielles Startdatum für Lack of Purity festzulegen. Was in weiterer Folge auch bedeutet, dass wir UNSER ZWANZIGJÄHRIGES BANDJUBILÄUM FEIERN!
Als wir damals mit Lack of Purity gestartet sind, hätten wir nicht zu träumen gewagt, dass es uns 20 Jahre danach immer noch geben wird – wenn auch inzwischen in ein bisschen veränderter Besetzung. Die verdammte Pandemie hat unseren Zeitplan ein wenig durcheinander gewirbelt, deswegen gibt es heute noch nicht so viel zu verkünden, wie wir eigentlich geplant hätten. Wir bitten noch um etwas Geduld, denn bald gibt es weitere Nachrichten aus dem Hause Lack of Purity!
Was wir aber bereits freudig vermelden können: Wir werden im September 2022 auf die Bühne zurückkehren, genauer gesagt spielen wir am St. Pölten Metal Weekend! Da wir in der Zwischenzeit trotz Pandemie musikalisch nicht untätig waren, gibts den einen oder anderen neuen Song dort zu hören. Außerdem hat unsere altehrwürdige Website www.lackofpurity.com, die uns auch als eine Art Band-Archiv prall gefüllt mit Informationen aus 20 Jahren Bandgeschichte dient, einen neuen und zeitgemäßen Anstrich bekommen.
Wir danken allen unseren Fans, Freunden und Unterstützern für ihre Treue und ihr langanhaltendes Interesse an Lack of Purity und freuen uns scho gewaltig darauf, endlich wieder mit euch live rocken und feiern zu könnnen!
